To suggest a new blog topic area, please enter all the information requested below.

The short names are limited to 30 characters in length. The long names can be up to 150 characters. Descriptions can be 2,000 characacters long.

When suggesting a topic name, avoid vague, general topics like "How To" (which could theoretically include "how to cook an egg", "how to get good weld joints", or "how to use Microsoft Word to organize your CD collection"). Choose something more specific and descriptive, such as "Restoring Classic Cars" or even "Restoring Classic Ford Mustangs". At the same time, you don't want something too narrow, like "Restoring the Seat Covers of a 1967 Mustang Convertible".

When providing your topic description, giving us some URLS to blog articles in that general topic theme, wiki articles about the topic, etc., will help you/us more than a description like "This is missing on your site, add it." If you haven't enough interest in the topic to provide us with a decent name and description, you probably don't have enough interest to submit article ideas or suggest related blogs to us. (At least, that's how we're going to perceive it.) You don't need to write an encyclopedia article, either. Just assume we aren't familiar with your topic area enough to get it based on the name, then tell us in the description enough about the topic that we can see where it belongs on the site and what it's about.
